Reef Study at Low Tide - Sculptural Ceramic Vessel
Reef Study at Low Tide - Sculptural Ceramic Vessel
A hand-built stoneware vessel inspired by the quiet formations revealed when the ocean pulls back at low tide. Made in small batches, finished in a soft bone glaze, and shaped individually — no two pieces are the same.
Columns at Low Tide is a sculptural ceramic vessel built slowly by hand, using individually formed clay columns that are gathered into a single organic structure. The piece sits between art object and functional décor — designed to stand alone as sculpture, or to hold dried stems and branches.
The form is influenced by exposed reef pillars, coastal erosion, and the repetition of shapes left behind when the tide recedes. Its neutral bone-glazed finish makes it easy to style in minimalist, coastal, wabi-sabi, Japandi, or natural material interiors.
Each vessel is completely hand-built (not wheel-thrown), which means small variations in height, glazing, and curvature are intentional and part of the signature of the piece.
